The local moving company we hired sent us four guys and a large truck to move us to our new home 10 miles away. They did a very good job, and we decided to tip them each $50. Nevertheless, it was immensely annoying when the company owner suddenly showed up about a half-hour before the job was finished and started making comments like, “These boys have really worked hard today! They deserve a big tip!”

I wish now I had said something like, “Yes, they did work hard, and deserve to be paid a decent living wage.”
